Our partnership with Mayte’s Rescue as our Rescue Partner allows for a wonderful bricks and mortar location where we can house as may as 75 dogs and cats in a safe, and well maintained environment where they receive 24 hours a day supervision and care. Chloe was surrendered to us because his owner had to move out of state.
Paco is approximately 1 year old. She’s up to date on shots. She’s not spayed just yet, but we are working on that ASAP.

Meet Pablo!
Pablo comes to us from the streets of Baja, Mexico. He is a terrier mix – approximately 2-3 years old. He gets along well with all!
As with many rescue dogs, he is not potty trained – so he will require a little extra patience and love. He is worth it.
Pablo would love a household with a sister dog! He is used to female companionship.

Gus, the long legged Chihuahua was surrendered to us by someone who didn’t have time to take care of him. He is approximately 2 years old.
He is VERY friendly and gets along with everyone.

Meet Belly!
Belly is a 6 year old English Shepherd. She is currently a little overweight! Belly’s current owners love her very much, but have come to the realization that she needs to go to a home with A BIG YARD that she can have the use of.
Belly needs to be the only dog in the house – no question that she is the dominant dog. She has had extensive obedience training, and is very good on a leash.

Meet Sammy!!
Sammy’s current placement is not working out. We need to find a permanent and loving and understanding home for this boy, and we need to find it fast. He is a adult-bordering on-senior Pit Bull. He is 7 1/2 years old.

He is up to date with shots, and has been neutered. We are accepting applications for both fostering and adoption due to urgent nature of the situation.

Hercules & Sandy
Meet Hercules and Sandy!
They are a bonded pair of Chihuahua mixes. Hercules is 3 and Sandy is 8. They MUST be adopted together.
This bonded pair’s owner is going through a rough time and just can’t continue to take care of these babies – so they were surrendered to us.
They are good with other dogs. Sandy is overweight, but we will try to help her with that while she’s with us.
While good with kids, we feel that these two would be ideal for an older couple.
And again…we need to stress this – they MUST be adopted together.

Sampson
Meet Sampson!!
Sampson is small poodle mix – about 6-7 years old.
He was surrendered to us by owners who had a baby and didn’t have time for Sampson anymore.
He’s friendly, super cute and sweet. He loves toys and walks. He doesn’t mind children, but is somewhat indifferent to them.
He’s ok with other dogs, but also would love to be the only dog in a household – just so he can have all the love and kindness he deserves to himself!

Tippy
Meet Tippy!!
Tippy was found with his sister Penelope.
He is a 9 year old, and is currently overweight!
Tippy was microchipped and given away or sold. When we found him, we put him as lost and he was never claimed. He is now here with us at Mayte’s Rescue.
Tippy is good with all – but if in a home with another dog, he would prefer a chill housemate rather than a really active and rowdy one.
We would prefer Tippy go to a home with children as well – he is really great with kids.

Cornflake
Meet Cornflake!!
Unfortunately his owner went into hospice and the family couldn’t keep him. He was going to be euthanized and we couldn’t let that happen.
He’s a Chi Terrier mix. He’s about 14, has a little bit if arthritis and Cherry eyes but he’s in good shape for a senior. With the sweet boy, if you have love to give that’s all he wants. Please someone, open your home and give a senior the best golden years.

Buddy
Meet Buddy!!
This boy here is a sensitive boy. He was dumped at a vet and never picked up. He gets along with all dogs. His eye started to go blind but he does see somewhat – and he’s ok with it..
He is moody till he knows you then will love you forever.
He needs a loving family and wants to play! He LOVES to play and chase balls! I always say “there is a lid to every pot when I talk about rescue ” so let’s find this 7-8 year old a forever home!

Doodle
Meet Doodle!!
This 2 year old girl from the Dominican Republic is a just a joy- full of spunk and energy! Doodle was hit by a car in the Dominican Republic – and there was an issue with one of her legs, but it doesn’t bother her at all – this girl can PLAY with the best of them.
Doodle would be best in a house with another young dog who has a lot of energy. Older, more mellow dogs would not appreciate the full Doodle experience!! She does get along well with other dogs, both male and female. She isn’t a fan of cats.
Knowing where this girl came from, and the hard life she had – to see the absolute happiness in her eyes will be something that will brighten your day.
